Fabio Oberto is the son of Piedmont legend Andrea Oberto, but no doubt Fabio's own traditions will leave a mark on the Barolo culture. The Oberto family has been involved in wine production in the Langhe for over 60 years and has been one of the steadfast names in creating the world-class reputation for wines of Barolo. For his eponymous wines, Fabio collaborates with seasoned winemaker Sergio Molino, as well as his good friend Massimo Martinelli, whose experience with the Renato Ratti company alone could fill volumes with winemaking knowledge.
La Colina di Dionoso is the larger part of Fabio's business, but his namesake wines are where his passion delivers the sublime. Exquisite care in the vineyards and staunch traditionalism in the winery deliver vintages of benchmark bottles of both high demand and low volume.
